Spring Sundays: Bookworks

12-6pm Publishing on the Peripheries / Graphic Design masterclass
From practicalities like design, layout, binding, printing, publishing and distribution, to the bigger questions of the role of the bookwork today and in the future, this day-long series of events will seek to inform and inspire.
Professionals from the world of book making will gather at Belfast Exposed Photography to discuss and debate the relevance and potential of bookworks and photobooks to communicate ideas, and the realities of their impact in an over saturated market.
Participating groups: Imago Mundi (Krakow), Tonic Design (Belfast), Bookworks (London), Edwin Pickstone/The Press (Glasgow School of Art), Centrifugal (Belfast-Helsinki-Zagreb)

a representative from Book Works will be available for 1-2-1 sessions for those interested in self-publishing
3-4 Practical Bookmaking
Informative workshop focusing on methods of book-binding. Materials provided.
5-6 Panel discussion: Publishing on the Peripheries
Panel discussion on the topic of the self-publishing with Book Works andf Imago Mundi

Spring Sundays - Photographic Walking Tour

Embark on the ‘You Are Here’ walking tour - an outdoor exhibition of images from Belfast Exposed’s photographic archive. Belfast Exposed is a contemporary photography gallery and photographic training organization with an extensive archive of images documenting life in Belfast over the past 40 years.
Images selected in the exhibition reference the city, past and present, on advertising panels around the city centre. Your tour guide will be one of Belfast Exposed’s original photographers who can give a unique first hand account of each photograph.
Get off the beaten track and enjoy this unique experience of Belfast.
