Screening of International Window Shopping

Campaign for Artists Freedom

Manick Govinda challenges new Home Office regulations - which will curb invitations to non-EU artists and academics to visit the UK for talks, artist residencies, conferences and temporary exhibitions.

Head of Artist Advisory Services and Artists' Producer at Arts Admin, Manick is also a member of the London Cultural Strategy Group at London City Hall and non executive director of a-n: The Artists Information Company.

Policing the Public Gaze: The Assault on Citizen Photography

The Manifesto Club debates the growing restriction of citizen photography - by community safety wardens, private security guards and self-appointed ‘jobsworths’.

Speakers:

Pauline Hadaway is the Director of Belfast Exposed and author, 'Policing the Public Gaze'.

Jonathan Warren is a freelance photographer, based in London working for daily newspapers, magazines and news websites.  He is one of the founders of the "I'm a Photographer, Not a Terrorist" campaign, drafting the bust card for s44 Stop & Searches as well as designing the campaigns artwork.

Jess Hurd is a freelance photographer and contributor to Report Digital.  She is one of the founders of 'I'm a Photographer Not a Terrorist'  campaign. She is also an organiser of  Photo-Forum, a monthly London event where professional photographers showcase their work, socialise and discuss photographic issues in a supportive environment.  She is an active member of the National Union of Journalists and recently elected Chair of the first London Photographers Branch

Josie Appleton is the Director of the Manifesto Club
