Apply Now: BX Summer Residencies
15 May to 31 May 2014
For the second year running we are opening up the Exchange Space to be used for a series of short work-space residencies over the summer months.
Designed to support emerging Northern Irish artists working with Photography, this programme offers a two week unpaid workspace residency in the Exchange Space for artists to research and develop ideas. We welcome submissions from artists working within the medium of photography, digital imagery and installations that incorporate photography.
The residency offers time and space for artists to explore new ideas and present work in progress, gaining feedback though public interaction, artist talks, screenings and peer critiques.
Residents will have access to the darkroom, the photographic studio suite and the BX Library alongside opportunities for engaging with BX staff and archive material.
Please send in a current C.V and a supporting statement of no more than one A4 side. In this supporting statement please outline why you would like this opportunity and how you feel it would benefit your practise. Please also include your idea for a public event during your residency.
Please send your applications to
The deadline for applications is 1st June at 5pm
