Street Photography Belfast

Saturday 4 February from 10am - 4pm

Capture the real Belfast experience in the context of a gallery with over 25 years experience documenting the city and in the capable hands of a skilled and passionate photographer and teacher. Exploring the way photography expresses stories, histories and atmosphere, you will work in a small group, allowing for discreet street photography and more opportunity for one-to-one tuition.

Beginning in the workshop with an overview of Street Photography, you will explore strategies for getting that ‘decisive moment’ and then its out for the adventure that is street photography. There will also be an opportunity to take part in a peer review of the work carried out.

This course is open to all photographers, professional or amateur, no matter what technical stage you are at. You will receive personal feedback from the tutor and advice on how to continue improving your photography. The course notes will be a constant source of information as you begin, or continue, your journey through photography.

The course is taught in small groups (no more than 10 people). You will learn how to capture the real Belfast, the way you see it, but perhaps more importantly how you want your audience to see it.

The small numbers of students allows for discreet street photography and more opportunity for one to one tuition. Each participant will gain new skills no matter what stage of photography they are at.

The course will start in the classroom for an overview of Street Photography; you will discuss strategies for getting that ‘decisive moment’. Then its out for the adventure that is Street photography. There will also be time to have a peer review of the work carried out.
