About The Exhibition

Belfast Exposed commissioned Jimi Hughes, to photograph Belfast-based, visual artists, as group portraits of the studios and organisations with which they are affiliated and as a record of practitioners in Belfast in 2001. These large format prints will be exhibited alongside a number of historical group portraits of practicing artists from the Alexander Hogg Collection, held by the Ulster Museum, taken in Belfast at the beginning of the Century.

Studio groups and arts organisations photographed are: Array Studios, Belfast Exposed, Catalyst Arts, Creative Exchange, Flax Art Studios, Orchid Studios, Queen Street Studios and Source Magazine: Ireland's Photographic Review.
