Posted on: 15th February 2023

We are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and proactive board members to join our board of trustees and contribute to the organisation’s continued development, in line with our strategy and socially engaged ethos. Applicants must be passionate and knowledgeable about the arts, community, and voluntary sectors in Northern Ireland.

We are looking for a range of board members with expertise in business, treasury, and community outreach to contribute their skills and knowledge to enhance our board as we work to meet the challenges of ensuring good governance and the opportunities that quality strategic leadership can bring to our organisation.

Applicants must download and return the ‘Expression of Interest’ and ‘Monitoring Form’ below by Wednesday the 29th of March, 2023.

Please return the completed ‘Expression of Interest Form’ and ‘Monitoring Form’ to Conor at c.obrien@belfastexposed.org

For over 40 years Belfast Exposed has led the way, challenging, shaping, and bringing meaning to our culture and society. Through the power of photography, we have created an internationally significant archive, capturing who we were, who we are and in turn what we can become. It serves us to ensure an inspiring, enduring legacy for today and beyond.

A non-profit company situated in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter, art is at the heart of everything we do, shaping our dreams and aspirations.

Belfast Exposed houses four public galleries, exhibiting world-class art that responds to contemporary currents in photography and politics. Specialising in mental health and well-being, we support communities through our unique, ‘Viewpoint’ program. Our business support packages work directly with businesses to meet their needs by delivering skills training, catering to employee wellbeing, and providing a beautiful venue for events, launches and presentations. Through mentoring and providing exhibiting opportunities, our ‘Futures Program’, also supports early career artists. We deliver a photography academy for young people interested in photography, encouraging those most disadvantaged to be connected, inspired, and achieve skills and qualifications for future employment. We have over 35 years of experience delivering an extensive photography training programme to the public.
