About The Exhibition

Belfast Exposed has been engaging with a group of older women from Ballybeen Women’s Centre on a photography project reflecting on isolation and the impact that isolation has on the women. The project, funded by Arts Council of Northern Ireland, captures the female perspective of the local area of Ballybeen and the challenges the women faced during the lockdown enforced due to COVID -19. In particular, photographs show how hobbies and keeping active eased the effects from isolation and brought a sense of stability to the well-being of the women.
