About The Exhibition

The ‘Young Futures’ programme, funded by Children in Need & Foyle Foundation, focuses on growing the next generation of artists and photographers, filling a gap in the current education system where there is a lack of training and support for young people in this field. ‘Young Futures’ participants will invest in personal development, communication, and professional practices in relation to their interest in photography.

"Taking part in the Young Futures, broadens my horizons in making photographs and at the same time was good fun. I also got to meet new people which I liked. The workshops have been something to really look forward to especially during COVID." - Scott

The programme includes a series of creative workshops, visits to galleries and Ulster University, participation in a group exhibition, a small portfolio of work and a group showcase. Our criteria was for participants aged 15-18 year olds, with a keen interest in art and photography, and catered to the needs of the individual.
