About David

Based in Northern Ireland, David has just completed an MFA in Photography at Ulster University, after having achieved a first-class hons degree in Photography in 2017. David divides his time between commissioned and personal projects.

Showing work in both solo and group exhibitions, and most recently commissioned as part of the renowned ‘SIXTEEN’ exhibition, which toured in 2019 throughout the UK, including Belfast Exposed Photography Gallery.  FORMAT International Photography Festival, where David was published for his portrait of Patrick Adams, on the cover of the Guardian weekend magazine.

David’s Practice

Utilizing conceptual and documentary approaches David explores the boundaries physical, circumstantial, and psychological that hold humanity in-between. David’s most recent work, ‘a place to sleep,’ examines his position within the boundaries of the provincial town he calls home.
