About The Event

Belfast Exposed invites you to the launch of Ruby Wallis' newest publication, in collaboration with Phillina Sun, 'A Woman Walks Alone at Night, with a Camera', which will also be displayed as an exhibition on our Street View from 14th March - 16th April.

The Book Launch will take place in Belfast Exposed on Friday 25 March, from 1:00pm.

Booking is required. You can book your free ticket here

Featuring photographs by Ruby Wallis and an essay by Phillina Sun, the project centres around the experience of walking at night as a woman. Designed by Eimearjean McCormack, the publication links image and text through the figure of the flâneuse, framed here as a subversive, imaginative explorer who wanders the city according to her desire, deterritorialising an urban landscape traditionally seen as a male domain.
