About The Event

The ‘Young Futures’ programme focuses on growing the next generation of artists and photographers, filling a gap in the current education system where there is a lack of training and support for young people in this field. ‘Young Futures’ participants will invest in personal development, communication, and professional practices in relation to their interest in photography.

Throughout the programme, we will consult with post-primary schools to assess where provision is most needed. An open call-out for participants will be made across Northern Ireland. Our criteria will be for participants aged 15-18 year olds, with a keen interest in art and photography, and catered to the needs of the individual.

The programme will include a series of creative workshops, visits to galleries and Ulster University, participation in a group exhibition, a small portfolio of work and a group publication.

Price

The programme is free. Consent forms will be sent out to participants, which need to be signed and returned to us by Tuesday 10th November.
