We are delighted to present the winner of the first annual Belfast Exposed Graduate Award, Jane Cummins.

As the recipient of the Award, photographer Jane Cummins will undertake a residency in Gallery 2 from Friday 1 September until Saturday 14 October. During this time, the gallery will be open to the public as a live studio meets work-in-progress exhibition where the artist will be developing a new project exploring and experimenting with self-portraiture. Jane’s new work leads on from her MFA project ‘Half Sick of Shadows’ which focuses on the personal experiences of living in the family home in ones thirties, and the effects that this has upon identity and sense of self.
