About The Exhibition
Seeing Through a Different lens, is a photography exhibition showcasing Belfast Exposed therapeutic photography programme. Co-designed with the participants, the programme uses photography as a method of creative intervention, and exploration.
The exhibition is a reflection of the participant’s individual journeys that are collectively curated based on the various methodologies developed by the ‘Mental Health & Wellbeing’ team at Belfast Exposed. The artworks were developed by the participants to explore their emotions, narratives and perspectives through photography while focussing on supporting their self- expression and personal growth in a supportive environment.
There are 4 main areas in which the Therapeutic Photography programme benefits the participants. By Easing Symptoms, Learning new skills or enhancing existing skills, Contributing towards their positive mental health and other Strategic aspects.
