About The Exhibition
Belfast Exposed is pleased to be exhibiting photographic works from 21 student photographers from Ulster University’s 2nd Year BA Hons in Photography, in their group show The Collective.
The Collective investigates contemporary concepts and issues through a wide variety of approaches and methodologies. The works examine topics such as mental health, body image and expectations, women represented in social media, issues of place, and reflections on Brexit.
There are 21 artists included in the group exhibition including:
Dearbhla Cunning, Joanna Penney, Max Le Feuvre, Karl Johnston, Matthew McCracken, Savannah Bracewell, Lauren Uprichard, Philip Wood, Sarah Ellis, Margaret Cooke, Conall McGuiggan, Ben Malcolmson, Lauren McBride, Maisie Buchanan, Gemma Smyth, Aimee Somerville, Evie Williamson, Lauren McNeice, Grace Pritchard, Mollie Young, and Radoslaw Wyjadlowski
"This exhibition shows the variety of materials, concepts and aesthetic problems that a group of the 2nd Year BA Hons in Photography with students are working to solve. It is a rare and appreciated opportunity to see how the work the students create for the course will live in the world in a gallery context."
