Change Through The Lens: NHSCT Exhibition at Giant’s Causeway Visitor Centre

The Therapeutic Photography Group, funded by the Northern Health & Social Care Trust, invite you to view their exhibition throughout December and January at the Giant’s Causeway Visitor Centre. The exhibition is the culmination of a series of workshops with Belfast Exposed, with participants using photography as an outlet as they navigate a wide range of mental health difficulties.

Working with our specialised facilitators, the group have taken time to get outside, engage with nature, and break the cycle of isolation, producing stunning images that will now be exhibited at the iconic Giant’s Causeway.

Belfast Exposed therapeutic work is tailored specifically to each individual and group we work with. We predominantly work in the field of mental health, co-designing projects with health, statutory and community stakeholders to support individuals and groups who may suffer with mental health issues and illnesses. Programmes encourage participants to be fully present in the moment, connecting with others, using photography as a catalyst for improving quality of life. We also incorporate the NHS ‘Five Steps to Positive Wellbeing’ – Connect, Be Active, Keep Learning, Give & Take Notice.

The launch of the exhibition takes place at 11am on Thursday 5 December at the Giant’s Causeway Visitor Centre.

The visitor centre is a National Trust facility, and those in the BT57 (Bushmills and Portballintrae), BT56 (Portrush) and BT54 (Ballycastle) areas can park and visit for free using the Local Pass Scheme.
