Glitch Art Workshop, inspired by Thomas Albdorf

Inspired by the work of Thomas Albdorf currently on display in Gallery I, Belfast Exposed is hosting a unique workshop in glitch art with Belfast based artist Paul Moore.

In this exclusive, one day course, you will learn the basics of glitch image manipulations, which involves the distortion and breakdown of images to produce a new form of visual art, created via digital glitches or errors. Using methods such as Databending and Sonicfication, you will see how image files can be compressed and read through various digital programmes to produce new works of art.

About the artist

Paul Moore is a Belfast based artist who works in ‘Incorrect Process’. He works to exploit the breakdown of information and produce work in the form of  glitch art, visual art that involves or is caused by digital glitches or errors. Moore is based in Belfast after graduating from the Ma in Art Research and Collaboration from Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology.
