Pinhole Photography Workshop

Belfast Exposed is delighted to offer the opportunity to learn about Pinhole Photography from artist Peter Richards during this exclusive workshop on Monday, 9th March.

Utilising the most basic elements of a camera – a box and an aperture – pinhole photography provides an exciting introduction to photography, reducing it to its rawest form.

Find out how to explore the mysteries of photography without a viewfinder, and enjoy the unknown element as you wait for the developed exposure. Pinhole photography, although simple, is something that requires some thought. Time has to be taken to think about exposures, movement, blur.

Peter will show how this can be the perfect way to slow down the process of capturing an image, focusing only on the most important steps.

This FREE workshop will take place from 10am – 3pm (with an hour long break for lunch) on Monday, 9th March at Belfast Exposed.

Peter’s current exhibition, ‘Re-presenting representations of representation: Revisited’, runs until Saturday, March 21st.
