Still Here: Remembering Through Photography
Belfast Exposed, in partnership with Age NI and through an open call in Lisburn through our community partners, presents Still Here: Remembering Through Photography, an exhibition that captures the lives, emotions, and memories of individuals at various stages of dementia. Working closely with participants in Ballyclare and funded by LFT Charitable Trust, this year-long project explored the therapeutic potential of photography—providing a platform for expression, connection, and celebration.
Through fortnightly workshops from August 2023 to July 2024, participants, along with their caregivers, engaged in creative sessions designed to reduce isolation, promote well-being, and celebrate the present moment. These images are more than photographs, drawings or collages; they are glimpses into the personal stories of the individuals who contributed to this collective narrative.
We invite you to join us in honouring their lives, memories, and the connections formed through this transformative journey that has inspired us all.
