Tapestry of Life
Belfast Exposed is delighted to host Tapestry of Life – a vibrant, multidisciplinary art installation celebrating the visibility, stories, and creative wisdom of older adults.
Spanning textiles, photography, poetry, and film, this cross-community initiative fosters deep human connection, creative expression, and well-being. The artwork was created over a 12-week programme in the spring of 2026. Participants from the local community exploring life’s twists and turns through art and conversations.
Led by dancer and textile artist Sandy Cuthbert, alongside photographer Carrie Davenport, poet Stiofan DeBurca, textile artist Una Hickey, and sound artist Isaac Gibson. Tapestry of Life is an Off the Rails Dance community engagement project supported by Black Mountain Shared Space.
Funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, National Lottery, and the Public Health Agency Northern Ireland. Supported by Black Mountain Shared Space and Belfast Exposed.
