BIEN: The Flute NI

From different musical traditions, but united by a love for the instrument, Aisling Agnew and Andrew Douglas, two of Northern Ireland’s acclaimed classical flautists demonstrate the instrument’s versatility, including its prevalence in folk and popular culture.

Andrew Douglas plays with the Ulster Orchestra and Aisling Agnew is the Artistic Director of the Hard Rain Soloist Ensemble, Northern Ireland’s contemporary classical music collective. She is also the host of The Flute NI podcast which pays tribute to flautists of all traditions and experiences.
